This is another item in the rapidly expanding Plus Model line of diorama accessories and enhancements. The contents allow the modeler to create a total of ten cardboard boxes to add some flavor to a diorama, vignette, or vehicle.
The boxes are printed on a single sheet of paper, a bit thicker than standard printer type paper, but not quite as thick as cardstock either. The model provides for ten boxes on a smallish 10.5 x 12.5 cm sheet. Included are five general boxes for overseas mail, two that appear to be generic overseas shipping boxes for members of the armed forces and three others that are "Service Mens, Victory Shipper" boxes. Also included are five boxes for shaving products, two Mennen and three from Barbasol.
I like the paper they are printed on, it seems to be a bit easier to work with than some other products I have used in the past. It is clear to see how this little set can really add to a diorama or vignette. The boxes look to be an easy build although there are no instructions or how-to guide included. The printing on each of the boxes is amazingly sharp, with the help of my Opti-Visor (full power) I could actually easily read that Barbasol is manufactured in Indianapolis. The overseas shipping boxes would seem to have wider possibilities for incorporating into a model, but the different shaving cream boxes also have their uses.
Overall a very nice little set at a more than reasonable price. The possibilities for use seem almost endless, I could envision a couple of these in the back of a jeep or tossed on the bed of a deuce and a half or even the backdrop/contents of an Oddball type supply tent. However you decide to use them they can certainly help add that visual spark to your latest creation.
Highs: Easy to build and incorporate into a model. Very inexpensive and well printed. Lows: No how-to guide provided. Verdict: I really like this little set, I wish they had provided a bit more of a variety, but at this price it is hard to complain.

I have been modeling for about 30 years now. Once upon a time in another century I owned my own hobby shop; way more work than it was worth. I tip my opti-visor to those who make a real living at it. Mainly build armor these days but I keep working at figures, planes and the occasional ship.
